	Installation aux dimensions et techniques variées, présentée à Wapping Hydraulic Power Station, Londres dans le cadre de l’exposition Focus Kazakhstan : Post-nomadic mind qui a eu lieu en septembre 2018.

Hoelun est le prénom de la mère de Genghis Khan. Le mot Hoelun veut également dire un nuage dans les langues turcics. 
Cette installation représente le contraste entre la légèreté d’un nuage et la violence du contexte historique. 

Cette œuvre a été crée en 2016 et exposée pour la première fois dans le cadre de l’exposition collective Did you know Kazakhstan ? dans la Wild Project Gallery, Luxembourg.    


	Installation of various dimensions and techniques, presented at Wapping Hydraulic Power Station, London as part of the Focus Kazakhstan: Post-nomadic mind exhibition held in September 2018.


Hoelun is the first name of Genghis Khan's mother. The word Hoelun also means a cloud in Turkic languages. 
This installation represents the contrast between the lightness of a cloud and the violence of the historical context. 


This work was created in 2016 and first exhibited as part of the group show Did you know Kazakhstan? at Wild Project Gallery, Luxembourg.

se font tuer pour une idée..."
Présentée dans l'espace culturel universitaire du Crous à Paris, cette exposition mérite en détour

	Kamilla Gabdullina mène, à deux niveaux, une recherche sur la picturalité du conflit.
D’une part, elle expérimente l’acte de peindre comme lutte avec la toile, fruit d’un
dialogue musclé avec ses ratés, ses manques, ses pertes et ses retours. Ces toiles
viscérales, laissant libre cours à l’imagination, ne signifient rien, elles sont simplement la
trace de ce qu’un conflit psychique et esthétique peut produire.
D’autre part, le conflit est traité comme le sujet de la peinture, dessinant un nouveau
corpus d’oeuvres. L’artiste conçoit, puis met en scène des situations de violence sociale,
s’appuyant notamment sur les travaux de René Girard et les dérives du « désir
mimétique ».
Kamilla Gabdullina « exécute » ses tableaux au sein fort, jouant sur le double sens d’une
mise à mort et d’une réalisation. Cette ambiguïté caractérise également le ton qu’elle
emploie : la poésie absurde des premières toiles dénote avec la crudité et la frontalité
des secondes, ne laissant personne indifférent. Entre horreur et fascination, le
spectateur finit par partager l’expérience d’un conflit entre les sensations, devenue lutte
entre les idées.

	
Les clous, le nœud , le nuage


Les clous, objets métalliques et durs, disent ce conflit. En se liquéfiant dans l’aquarelle, la
rudesse de l’objet est niée par la peinture même, douce, aqueuse, fluide. Cependant, les
couleurs employées rappellent cruellement la violence, l’agressivité, le sang qui coulent,
infiltrent la toile et le regard.
Quant au nœud, il est une des figures privilégiées du conflit. Mais tout comme pour les
clous, l’ambivalence est éclatante : la violence inhérente à l’objet est atténuée par le
traitement délicat de l’image. L’objet semble à la fois menaçant et menacé. La couleur et
la lumière adoucissent sa ferme solidité, et la corde semble flotter, vouloir s’envoler ou
même se délier pour se laisser absorber. Son contour est d’ailleurs flou, évoquant une
indéniable fragilité. Symbole des relations sociales, la corde renvoie tantôt aux liens
forts entre les humains (fraternité, solidarité, rencontre), tantôt aux points de frictions
inévitables qu’ils génèrent (rivalité, désaccord, guerre).

Cette toile entre subtilement en écho avec l’installation Oelun. Ce terme signifie nuage
en langue turque ou turcique (différente du turc moderne), mais c’est aussi le prénom de
la mère de Ghengiz Khan, le grand envahisseur nomade du XIIe siècle, l’homme le plus
sanguinaire du millénaire. La première dualité se situe au sein même du terme Oelun,
de son sens : une femme – nuage qui enfante un monstre. Elle s’étend ensuite aux objets :
la corde et le nuage ; aux matières : l’eau et le végétal. Le liquide et le léger luttent contre
le solide et le lourd. Le nuage, par essence insaisissable car évanescent, est ici retenu
avec fermeté par le cordage. Se fait alors jour une autre dualité, celle des espaces :
l’air/le ciel et la terre (en écho au tableau de la corde : objet terrien ou marin tentant
d’atteindre l’aérien) ; mais également celle des espaces intérieur et extérieur, le nuage
étant piégé dans un espace auquel il n’appartient pas.


Les oiseaux

Après l’intégration du narratif (dans la toile évoquée ci-dessus), les trois dernières
toiles présentent pour la première fois dans l’exposition « le vivant » à travers la figure
de l’oiseau.
Le plan rapproché, comme un portrait de l’oiseau-jouet, focalise le regard sur les yeux,
expression de douleur, et offensés par les éléments qui le transforment en jeu. Ce qui
devait être ludique et joyeux pour l’enfant, se révèle être une blessure voire une torture
pour l’oiseau devenu simple objet et sujet des désirs d’autrui.
Pourtant les couleurs sont assez douces, le rose, le jaune, le blanc surtout. La toile
juxtaposée (celle composée de plusieurs oiseaux posés sur des fils) offre d’ailleurs un
écho à ces tons mais sur de plus minces surfaces ; car ce sont le vert, le bleu et le noir qui
dominent la composition. Ces couleurs évoquent les différents espaces naturels (ciel et
nature) mais également les différents espaces temporels (nuit et jour).
Le dernier tableau “oiseau” reprend ce thème essentiel qui parcourt toutes les œuvres
de l’exposition : la dualité des espaces. L’oiseau peut d’ailleurs figurer pertinemment
cette dualité car c’est un être entre deux espaces : l’air et la terre, qui parcourt
d’immenses étendues. Ici, il se situe entre un paysage vague, nébuleux mais néanmoins
évocateur et un espace totalement obscur voire vide.
Toutes ces dualités présentes dans le traitement pictural, la transition, la métamorphose
et la signification suscitent un trouble chez le regardeur, une incertitude dans sa
perception
